Jonathan Adler Bio
Jonathan Adler is a Professor of Psychology at Olin College of Engineering. He also serves as Editor ofPersonality and Social Psychology Review, teaches at Harvard Medical School, and is the Chief Academic Officer of Health Story Collaborative, a non-profit organization based in Cambridge, Massachusetts that seeks to elevate personal stories in the context of healthcare. Dr. Adler’s research focuses on the role of personal narrative in constituting and shaping our identity and supporting our psychological well-being. His research has been covered by The New York Times, National Public Radio, The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, Scientific American, and many other outlets. In addition to his research, Dr. Adler is a theater director and playwright. His play, Reverse Transcription, (co-written with Jim Petosa), premiered Off-Broadway last summer, at The Atlantic Theater Company’s Stage Two, produced by PTP/NYC.
